Those three puppies are definitely the cutest I've seen so far today :)

I've read through bits of your blog and if the content in your book is half as good as the content on your blog I honestly don't see why you're afraid the book will disappoint - you'll crush it!

/Adam - The Doggy InstituteAdam - The Doggy Institutehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18358487981308992522noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2115660076832707211.post-16165433815122913432017-01-05T12:24:27.224-05:002017-01-05T12:24:27.224-05:00Happy New Year, Guilie! We'll miss you in April for the A to Z, but your musical challenge piqued my interest. It would be hard too do both, though. Congratulations on getting your book published! Your posts were so enlightening. The sequel will be equally great, I'm sure. Looking forward to your future posts. I do hope the book does...Thank you so much, Birgit! I do hope the book doesn't disappoint... It's a work of love, no doubt (especially from my publisher; I mean, who publishes a book that has such a limited audience, right?), but it's also a subject that may be too close to my heart for me to achieve any kind of objectivity... And so I'm afraid that I've missed things, that I've left holes in places... Argh! Haha.

No, I quit Battle of the Bands a while back. Yes, it was the talk in part, but mostly (since the talk was restricted to one or two individuals) it was lack of time. I enjoyed the Battles, but I noticed that my blog had become *all* Battles for several months. I have a hard time posting more often than twice a month, and if those two posts were Battles, well... I decided I'd abandoned the cultural-clash stuff for long enough. This year I want to make it a point to post—on both blogs—at least once every two weeks, more often if I can swing it. Blogging is an excellent exercise for me; it's kind of like halfway between journal-writing and fiction-writing... Journaling is, for me, just a step up from stream-of-consciousness (and sometimes not even that, haha), and fiction writing is at the other extreme: polishing every word, every sentence, until it shines. Blogging allows me to find some sort of middle ground, which I find a good work-out for the creativity muscle.

Ugh, Trump... I know. And now, of course, I'll be hearing the Darth Vader theme in my head too :D

Thanks for coming by, Birgit—and happy 2017!Guilie Castillohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09006999087139126972noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2115660076832707211.post-71532394918262177752017-01-04T18:48:54.094-05:002017-01-04T18:48:54.094-05:00I am so looking forward to seeing your book. Are you still doing the Battle of the Bands or did some of the talk just make you go ick? -hahahaaaa I am not looking forward to Darth vader, er, I mean Trump taking over. You know, every time i think of that bozo I hear the darth vader theme in my head.Birgithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09439720285857050428noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2115660076832707211.post-75112170846456873782017-01-04T13:15:10.907-05:002017-01-04T13:15:10.907-05:00Thank you, Julie!
